About A-Just Housing Corp.

A-Just Housing Corp is developing prefabricated architecture using steel ISO containers as a raw material and building block. This building block system creates several different possible configurations ranging from 306 to 918 square-foot living spaces, which we have named LUTEs (Living Units To Enjoy).

Shipping containers get a bad rap, yet they are an awesome source of material for sustainable living space. They are reuseable, recyclable, transportable, configurable and amenable to Cradle to Cradle engineering. Add to this the fact that the design rests solidly on four points and a container can resist 155 mph (250 km/h) winds!

A-Just Housing Corp (AJHC) will be using ISO containers as a building source for affordable housing. ISO requires precise manufacturing specifications and there are millions of containers available to use, for everything from small, well designed urban villages with infill to edge fill urban landscape.

How LUTEs are Made ...

We are designing an automated prefabrication system that will create 100 condo type living units per month from ISO Containers.

This automated prefabrication system has the potential to accommodate vocational training for persons with mental and/or physical disabilities, prisoners, persons with various language needs and other marginalized individuals.
